1、 Intelligent development direction
With the continuous improvement of the world's equipment manufacturing industry, industrial and agricultural product production towards the direction of action accuracy, control accuracy, action speed, and information accuracy, it is required that the motor drive system must have multiple functions such as self judgment, self-protection, self speed regulation, 5G+remote control, etc. Therefore, intelligent motors will definitely be an important development trend in the future. In recent years, we have seen various applications of smart motors, especially during the epidemic. Smart devices have played an important role in our fight against the epidemic, such as detecting body temperature with smart robots, delivering items with smart robots, and judging the epidemic situation with smart robots.

2、 Low noise development direction
For motors, there are two main sources of motor noise: mechanical noise and electromagnetic noise. In many motor applications, customers have high requirements for motor noise. Reducing the noise of the motor system requires comprehensive consideration of many aspects, including mechanical structure, dynamic balance of rotating components, accuracy of components, fluid dynamics, acoustics, materials, electronics, magnetic field, etc., and then the problem of noise can be solved through various simulation experiments and other comprehensive considerations. So, in practical work, solving motor noise is a difficult task for motor developers, but often motor developers solve it based on their past experience in solving noise. With the continuous development of technology and the increasing demands, reducing motor noise has given higher challenges to motor developers and technology workers.
3、 Flat development direction
In the practical application of motors, in many cases, when selecting a motor, it is necessary to design the motor with a larger diameter and a smaller length (i.e., the motor has a smaller aspect ratio). For example, the disc flat motor currently produced by POWER requires a lower center of gravity for the finished product, which improves the stability of the finished product during operation and reduces the noise during the finished product operation. But if the aspect ratio is too small, it also puts higher requirements on the production process of the motor. For motors with small aspect ratios, they are more commonly used in centrifugal separators. When the motor speed is constant (angular velocity), the smaller the aspect ratio of the motor, the higher the motor linear speed, and the better the separation effect.
4、 Development direction of lightweight and miniaturization
Lightweight and miniaturization are important development directions for motor design, such as aerospace application motors, automotive motors, drone motors, medical equipment motors, etc., which have high requirements for the weight and volume of motors. In order to achieve the goal of lightweight and miniaturization of motors, which is to reduce the weight and volume of a unit power motor, motor design engineers need to optimize the design process, apply advanced technology and high-quality materials. Due to the conductivity of copper being about 40% higher than that of aluminum, the proportion of copper iron application needs to be increased. For cast aluminum rotors, it can be changed to cast copper, and for motor cores and magnetic steels, higher energy materials are also needed, Greatly improving its conductivity and magnetic conductivity, but this optimization will increase the cost of motor materials. In addition, for miniaturized motors, there are higher requirements for production processes.
5、 Development in the direction of efficient, green and environmental protection
The environmental protection of motors includes the utilization rate of motor materials and the efficiency of motor design. For motor design efficiency, the first step is to determine the measurement standards. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has unified global motor energy efficiency and measurement standards. It covers motor energy-saving platforms such as MMASTER in the United States and EuroDEEM in the European Union. The European Union is about to implement the Recovery and Utilization (ECO) standard for the application of motor materials. China is also actively promoting environmentally friendly and energy-saving motors.
The high-efficiency and energy-saving standards for motors in various countries around the world will once again be raised, and high-efficiency and energy-saving motors may become popular products in the market demand. On January 1, 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission and five other departments of China issued the "Advanced Level of Energy Efficiency, Energy Conservation Level, and Access Level (2022 Edition) for Key Energy Products and Equipment", which began to be implemented. For the production and import of motors, priority should be given to the production and procurement of motors with energy efficiency reaching advanced levels. For the micro motors we currently produce, there must be energy efficiency requirements for motors in both production and import/export in various countries.
6、 Development of standardization direction for motors and control systems
The standardization of motors and control systems has always been a goal pursued by motor and control manufacturers. Standardization brings many benefits to research and development, production, cost control, quality control, and other aspects. Servo motors, exhaust motors, and other types of motors have achieved good standardization in motor and control.
Motor standardization includes standardization of external structure and standardization of motor performance. The standardization of external structure brings about the standardization of parts, and the standardization of parts will bring about the standardization of part production and motor production. The standardization of performance can be based on the standardization of the motor's external structure and segmented design of motor performance to meet the performance needs of different customers.
The standardization of control systems includes the standardization of software and hardware, as well as the standardization of interfaces. So, for control systems, the first step is to standardize hardware and interfaces. Based on the standardization of hardware and interfaces, software modules can be designed in segments according to market demand to meet the functional needs of different customers.
